The OPPO Reno11 Pro (5G) is a mid-range to upper-mid-range phone that OPPO markets as "The Portrait Expert". It combines a 6.7-inch curved OLED with a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chip, 12GB of RAM, a 32MP telephoto camera built for portraits and 80W SUPERVOOC charging, in a body that is only about 7.6 mm thick. This page is based on the published specifications and manufacturer information from OPPO's global product and specification pages. It explains where the phone fits in OPPO's Reno range, what the hardware and cameras offer, and where the compromises are.

Place in the Reno lineup

The Reno series is OPPO's design-and-camera line, sitting between the budget A series and the flagship Find series. The Reno11 Pro is the higher of the two main phones in the Reno11 family; OPPO's page groups it with the standard Reno11. Its portrait-first approach has been carried through the later generations, and anyone comparing it with newer options can look at the OPPO Reno12 Pro and the OPPO Reno13 Pro. For a step up in class, the OPPO Find X9 Pro belongs to the Find series. A direct comparison with the successor is available at OPPO Reno11 Pro vs Reno12 Pro.

OPPO's global pages list the model number CPH2607 and two colours, Pearl White and Rock Grey. The memory options are 12GB of RAM with 256GB or 512GB of storage. The global pages do not state a price or an exact release date, and no US list price is given, so none appears in the specification list. We list 24 January 2024 as the release date, which comes from launch information outside OPPO's product pages and should be treated as approximate.

Design and display

The phone measures 162.4 mm tall and 74.1 mm wide. The thickness is about 7.59 mm for Rock Grey and about 7.66 mm for Pearl White, and the weight is about 181g. OPPO describes the back as having a 3D etching process that creates millions of micro-level reflective surfaces on the glass, producing a shimmering effect, and the Pearl White version certainly looks different from the plain frosted finishes common on rivals. The Rock Grey version has a matte finish with a glittering effect that OPPO calls OPPO Glow. A large oval camera module sits at the top of the back and is a recognisable design element of the Reno line.

The screen is a 6.7-inch OLED with a curve on the edges, a resolution of 2412 x 1080 (FHD+) and a density of 394 ppi. OPPO quotes a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz (it notes that the rate varies with the app), a touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz, 10-bit colour with 1.07 billion colours, 100 percent DCI-P3 coverage in Vivid mode, HDR10+ certification and a local peak brightness of 950 nits, with AGC glass on the front. The 93 percent screen-to-body ratio is a manufacturer claim. A curved edge looks elegant and makes the phone feel thin in the hand, but it can cause accidental touches and reflections, and it makes screen protectors harder to fit. OPPO also notes that the light sensor sits hidden at the top of the screen, so tinted or dark protectors may interfere with it.

Performance and software

The chip is the MediaTek Dimensity 8200, built on a 4nm process, with an eight-core CPU and an Arm Mali-G610 MC6 GPU. OPPO calls it a flagship-level 5G chipset, and in the context of 2024 it is better described as an upper-mid-range processor: fast enough for smooth everyday use, good photography processing and most games at sensible settings, without matching the top Snapdragon and Dimensity chips of the same period. OPPO's marketing mentions improvements to energy efficiency, CPU and GPU compared with a previous chip, but those are relative laboratory claims and should not be read as absolute benchmark results.

Memory is 12GB of LPDDR5X and storage is UFS 3.1. OPPO does not list a microSD slot. The phone runs ColorOS 14 according to the specification page, which does not state the Android version, so we do not give one. OPPO highlights several AI functions on the Reno11 series, including AI Eraser, which removes passers-by or clutter from photos when the user circles them, and a portrait fine-tuning algorithm. The phone supports 5G with a long list of bands, dual nano SIM, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 with SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX-HD, LDAC and LHDC codecs (LHDC with certain OPPO and OnePlus earbuds), NFC and GNSS positioning including GPS, Beidou, GLONASS and Galileo. Biometrics are an in-display fingerprint sensor and face recognition. No IP rating is listed in the specifications we used.

Camera

This is the part OPPO wants you to look at. The rear system has a 50MP main camera (f/1.8, 84 degree field of view, optical stabilisation), a 32MP telephoto camera (f/2.0, autofocus) and an 8MP ultrawide camera (f/2.2, 112 degrees, fixed focus). OPPO says the telephoto uses a Sony IMX709 sensor and offers a 2x portrait composition, which is a more flattering focal length for faces than the wide main lens. The idea is that you get a dedicated portrait lens with a high resolution rather than a low-resolution telephoto that is only there to complete the module.

The front camera is also strong on paper: 32MP, f/2.4 with autofocus, listed without optical stabilisation. OPPO's list of rear shooting modes is long (Pro, Video, Photo, Portrait, Night, Hi-Res, Pano, Slo-Mo, Time-Lapse, Dual-view video and more). Rear video goes to 4K at 30 frames per second and 1080p at 60 frames per second, with several slow-motion modes, and the front camera can record up to 4K at 30 frames per second, defaulting to 1080p. OPPO highlights a Portrait Expert Engine that aims for accurate skin tones and flattering light. Whether the results suit your taste is subjective; the 8MP ultrawide is the weakest link in a system that otherwise has very good specifications.

Battery and charging

The battery is 4600 mAh typical (4440 mAh rated), which is mid-sized for a phone with a 6.7-inch screen. Charging is 80W SUPERVOOC, and OPPO says that ten minutes of charging can bring the battery to up to 45 percent. It also claims that its Battery Health Engine keeps the battery in good condition for four years. These are manufacturer claims based on OPPO's laboratory testing. Charging at 80W is useful for anyone who tops up in short bursts. Wireless charging is not listed in the specifications.

Who it is for

The Reno11 Pro is aimed at people who photograph other people: portraits, social media content, family events and travel pictures where a flattering 2x lens matters more than extreme zoom. It also suits buyers who care about a slim, light phone with an attractive back, a smooth curved OLED, fast charging and 12GB of memory. If you want a bigger battery, wireless charging or an official dust and water rating, look at other phones in our rankings.

Compromises

In short, the Reno11 Pro puts its effort where OPPO says it does: portraits, design and charging speed, with fewer concessions to ruggedness and expandability.
