The OPPO Reno13 Pro is the larger and better-equipped of the two phones OPPO built around the Reno13 name. Its selling points are a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen, a triple rear camera that includes a 3.5x telephoto lens, a 5,800 mAh battery with 80W charging, the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chip and an unusually strong IP69, IP68 and IP66 protection set, all in a body that is just 7.55 mm thick. This page is based on the published specifications and manufacturer information from OPPO's global product and specification pages, and it concentrates on what makes the Pro different from the standard model.
The Pro in the Reno13 family
OPPO lists four members of this generation: the Reno13 Pro, the Reno13, the Reno13 F 5G and the Reno13 F. The Pro sits at the top, and the rest of the line steps down in size, memory and camera hardware. Its model code on the specification page is CPH2697. OPPO's navigation now highlights the Reno16 series, so the Reno13 Pro is an older generation, and the later Reno14 Pro and Reno15 Pro have followed it into the catalogue. The official pages used here do not carry an on-sale date, so the release date shown follows the launch date used by this site and not a manufacturer statement.
Two comparisons are useful. The Reno13 shares the chip but has a smaller screen, a smaller battery and no telephoto camera, and the flagship Find X9 shows what OPPO builds when the camera is the priority. For a close look at the generation gap, the Reno13 Pro vs Reno14 Pro page lines up the numbers.
Slim body, tough shell
The Reno13 Pro measures about 162.73 x 76.55 mm and weighs about 195 g. At 7.55 mm it is slim for a phone with a 5,800 mAh battery, and OPPO calls the shape an AirLight design. There are two colours, Plume Purple, a pale tone with a feather-like swirl pattern in the glass, and Graphite Grey, which has a fingerprint-resistant matte finish. The back is a single sculpted piece of glass that flows into the camera module, polished in 65 steps according to OPPO, and the frame is aerospace-grade aluminium. The screen is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
The standout feature is the protection rating. OPPO says the phone passes IP69, IP68 and IP66 tests. In practical terms IP69 covers high-pressure, high-temperature water jets, and OPPO shows an 80 degree Celsius hot-water splash test and a 30-minute soak at 2 m as examples. These are laboratory results, and the page adds that the protection can fade with wear. Even so, few phones in this price band publish an IP69 rating, which makes the Pro an unusually safe pick for kitchens, workshops and pool-side use. OPPO goes one step further by adding an underwater shooting mode to the camera app.
A large, tall display
The panel is a 6.83-inch flexible AMOLED with a resolution of 1272 x 2800 pixels, a density of about 450 ppi and a screen-to-body ratio of 93.8%. The four edges curve slightly. The refresh rate can be set to 60, 90 or 120 Hz, touch sampling runs up to 240 Hz, and the screen supports 1.07 billion colours, 100% DCI-P3 in its three modes and HDR10+. OPPO's typical brightness is 600 nits in normal use and 1,200 nits in the high-brightness mode, which is competent but lower than the 3,000-nit and higher peaks quoted by some competitors.
Because the phone is large, one-handed use takes effort, but the thin bezels make the body only slightly bigger than many 6.7-inch phones. For video, games and reading it is a comfortable screen. Stereo speakers and an X-axis linear motor for finer vibration feedback complete the media side.
Chip, memory and ColorOS
The processor is the MediaTek Dimensity 8350, an octa-core 4 nm chip tuned jointly by MediaTek and OPPO, with an Arm G615 MC6 graphics unit. OPPO claims a 20% higher CPU performance and a 60% higher GPU performance than the previous generation, along with lower power use, but these figures rely on OPPO's own tests. The memory is generous: 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM with either 256 GB or 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. There is no 8 GB version of the Pro, and there is no memory-card slot listed.
The software is ColorOS 15.0. OPPO's feature list includes Livephoto sharing that works with iPhones through its O+ Connect app, AI tools such as AI Unblur, AI Reflection Remover, AI Clarity Enhancer, AI Motion and AI Reimage, and Google Gemini integration. OPPO also offers a 60-month fluency pledge, which promises smooth operation after five years according to its own testing. The page does not give a count of Android updates, so confirm the policy for your country. Other hardware includes Wi-Fi 6E and 6, Bluetooth 5.4 with LDAC and LHDC codecs, NFC, an infrared remote, an optical fingerprint reader under the display and a USB-C port.
Cameras, and the telephoto in particular
The camera system is the Pro's reason to exist. The main sensor is a 50MP Sony IMX890 of 1/1.56 inch with an f/1.8 aperture and optical stabilisation. Next to it sit a 50MP telephoto camera with f/2.8, optical stabilisation and 3.5x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera with autofocus and a 116 degree view. Most phones in this class either leave out the telephoto or use a tiny 2x module, so a 50MP 3.5x lens with stabilisation is a real advantage for portraits and distant subjects. OPPO also lists up to 120x digital zoom, a number that should be seen as a specification and not a promise of good pictures.
The front camera is a 50MP unit with autofocus and a 90 degree field of view. Video goes up to 4K at 60 frames per second on the rear and front cameras, with electronic and optical stabilisation, slow motion at 1080p and 120 fps or 720p and 240 fps, and dual-view video. OPPO also adds a tri-microphone system with audio zoom. The mix of a large main sensor, a stabilised telephoto and front-camera 4K 60 fps is one of the stronger camera packages in this price class.
Battery, charging and cooling
The battery is rated at 5,800 mAh typical (5,640 mAh rated) and charges through an 80W SUPERVOOC charger, with PD support at lower power. OPPO claims about 49 minutes for a full charge from 1% to 100%, 15 hours of puzzle gaming and 12.5 days of standby, all measured in its laboratory. OPPO also states that the battery should keep more than 80% of its capacity after five years of daily full cycles. The cooling system includes a vapour chamber of 4,791 mm², which OPPO describes as the largest on a Reno phone at that time. Wireless charging is not listed, which is typical for this price level.
Who it suits and what to weigh
The Pro suits someone who wants a camera phone that can also survive daily abuse: a travel or family photographer who would use the telephoto, an outdoor user who values IP69, and anyone who prefers a big, slim phone with a long-lasting battery. If you compare it with a mainstream rival such as the Galaxy A57, the Reno13 Pro vs Galaxy A57 page puts the figures side by side, and the rankings place all models on one scale.
- Brightness. 600 nits typical and 1,200 nits in high-brightness mode lag behind some rivals.
- No wireless charging. The page lists wired charging only.
- Memory choices. Only 12 GB versions are listed, so there is no cheaper entry configuration.
- Software. ColorOS 15.0 is the listed version, and no update count is promised on the page.
- Digital zoom. The 120x figure is a software crop, and the optical range ends at 3.5x.
- Claims. Battery hours, 49-minute charging and the five-year capacity figure are laboratory numbers.
In short, the OPPO Reno13 Pro is a strong all-rounder whose telephoto lens, IP69 rating and 80W charging distinguish it from the standard Reno13. It gives up some peak display brightness and offers no wireless charging, but it brings a combination of camera range, stamina and water protection that few phones in its class publish.
