The Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ is the large-screen member of Samsung's Fan Edition tablet pair for 2025. It carries a 13.1-inch display, an Exynos 1580 processor, a 10,090 mAh battery, IP68 protection and an S Pen in the box, and it is the first FE tablet to ship with Samsung's Galaxy AI features. Samsung announced the Tab S10 FE series on 2 April 2025 and said it would reach select markets from 3 April; the company's India page lists a launch date of 26 March 2025, which shows how regional rollouts differ. This page is based on the published specifications and manufacturer information, and covers the design, performance, software, camera and battery, along with the trade-offs.

Where it sits in the lineup

Samsung's tablet range runs from the budget A series through the FE models to the premium Tab S flagships. The S10 FE+ sits in the middle: it borrows the look of the flagships, with slim bezels and a flat aluminium design, but uses an LCD panel and a mid-range chip to keep the price lower. Samsung describes it as having the largest screen yet on an FE tablet, almost 12% larger than the previous FE+, and it sits alongside the smaller 10.9-inch Galaxy Tab S10 FE, which shares the same processor, camera and software.

Above it, the Galaxy Tab S10+ offers an AMOLED screen and flagship silicon, and the later Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra continue that line. The older Galaxy Tab S9 is still the point of comparison for anyone wondering whether the FE+ is a step down; the side-by-side Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ versus Galaxy Tab S9 shows the data. We do not quote a US price, as the manufacturer pages we used do not give one.

Design and display

The tablet measures 300.6 x 194.7 x 6.0 mm and weighs 664 g in the Wi-Fi version, or 668 g with 5G. That is thin and manageable for a 13-inch device, though it is still a two-handed tablet when held for long. It comes in Gray, Silver and Blue (the India page calls the last one Light Blue), and the body is rated IP68 for dust and water resistance, including the included S Pen. Samsung's footnote specifies lab conditions of submersion in up to 1.5 metres of fresh water for up to 30 minutes, and adds that it is not advised for beach or pool use.

The screen is a 13.1-inch TFT LCD with a resolution of 2880 x 1800 (WQXGA+) and a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz. Samsung gives a maximum brightness of 600 nits, with up to 800 nits in High Brightness Mode, and Vision Booster adjusts visibility outdoors. The panel carries SGS Low Blue Light certification. It is a good screen for video and documents, but it is not AMOLED: black levels and contrast will not match the Tab S10+ or S11 series, and 90 Hz is smoother than 60 Hz but short of the 120 Hz of the flagships. If you watch a lot of dark films in a dim room, the difference is noticeable.

Performance and software

The Exynos 1580 is an octa-core chip with cores clocked at 2.9 GHz, 2.6 GHz and 1.9 GHz. It is a mid-range processor, comfortable with browsing, streaming, note-taking, drawing and split-screen multitasking, and not meant for heavy 3D gaming at maximum settings. Samsung offers 8 GB of RAM with 128 GB of storage as the base version, and notes that a 12 GB and 256 GB configuration is available depending on the market. MicroSD cards of up to 2 TB are supported, so storage is easy to expand. On the India model, Samsung lists 106.2 GB as available after the pre-installed software.

Samsung's launch material gives the operating system as Android 15, and the India specification lists a security-update period valid until 30 April 2032, which is a long commitment for a mid-range tablet. The FE+ brings the Galaxy AI tools that were previously limited to higher-end devices: Circle to Search with Google, Solve Math and Handwriting Help in Samsung Notes, an upgraded Object Eraser, Best Face for group photos and Auto Trim for video highlights. A Galaxy AI key on the optional Book Cover Keyboard launches an assistant in one press, and the assistant can be changed to Bixby or Gemini. The Home Insight widget gives an overview of SmartThings devices. Several of these functions need a network connection or a Samsung account, as Samsung's footnotes make clear.

The Spotlight apps, including LumaFusion, Goodnotes, Clip Studio Paint, Noteshelf 3, Sketchbook and Picsart, are promoted as creative tools; Samsung notes that some need separate downloads or subscriptions after trial periods.

S Pen and productivity

The S Pen is included, which sets the FE+ apart from many rivals where the stylus costs extra. It is the version without Bluetooth remote functions, so remote-control features that depend on a Bluetooth link are not available. For handwriting, sketching and annotating PDFs it works well, and the Solve Math feature runs on-device. The optional keyboard cover, sold separately, turns the 13.1-inch screen into a compact laptop substitute. Samsung lists a fingerprint reader in the power key.

Camera and audio

The rear camera is a 13 MP unit with autofocus and no flash, and the front camera is a 12 MP ultra-wide that is the one used for video calls. Samsung says the rear sensor is an upgrade on the 8 MP cameras of the previous generation. Video recording tops out at 4K at 30 fps. For a tablet, this is entirely adequate: scanning documents, taking whiteboard photos and joining meetings are the realistic uses. Two speakers handle audio, and Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6 cover wireless connections. The USB port is USB 2.0 Type-C, which is slow for large file transfers, and NFC is not listed.

Battery and charging

The battery has a typical capacity of 10,090 mAh, and Samsung states up to 21 hours of video playback. Wired charging is rated at 45W, but the adapter is sold separately, so budget for one. Samsung recommends approved chargers and cables. With a mid-range chip and a 90 Hz LCD, endurance should be good for a full day of mixed use, though the figures are manufacturer claims and depend on brightness and workload.

Who it is for

The FE+ is a sensible choice for students, note-takers and families who want a big screen, a stylus in the box and a long update window without paying flagship prices. It suits reading, video, schoolwork and light creative work, and the water resistance is welcome in a tablet that travels in a bag. Those who prefer a different ecosystem might compare it with the iPad Air M3 or the Pixel Tablet, and the rankings place all of them on one scale.

Compromises

The main concessions are the LCD instead of AMOLED, the 90 Hz ceiling, a mid-range Exynos chip, a basic S Pen without Bluetooth, USB 2.0 speeds and a charger that is not included. There is no NFC, and the rear camera has no flash. Some storage and RAM options vary by market, so check the exact version on sale where you live. For the price class, these are reasonable economies, but anyone who wants the best screen and the most power should look at the S11 or S10+ instead.
