The Xiaomi 14T Pro is the top model of Xiaomi's 2024 T series and combines a Dimensity 9300+ processor, 120W wired charging and a Leica-branded three-camera system. It has a 6.67-inch flat AMOLED screen that refreshes at up to 144Hz and reaches 4,000 nits at peak, a 5,000 mAh battery, and a main camera built around a 1/1.31-inch sensor that Xiaomi calls Light Fusion 900. The phone went on sale in late September 2024. This page goes through the published specifications and manufacturer claims, explains where the phone sits in the range and lists the compromises worth knowing about. It is a specification-and-information review based on the published specifications and manufacturer information, not a hands-on test.

Where it sits in the lineup

Xiaomi's T series is the company's bridge between the numbered flagships and the cheaper Redmi and Poco models. For 2024 there were two members: the standard Xiaomi 14T and the Pro described here. The Pro gets the faster Dimensity 9300+ chip, a larger main sensor, a 60mm telephoto instead of 50mm, 8K video recording, 120W wired charging and wireless charging at 50W. The standard model uses the Dimensity 8300-Ultra and stops at 67W. If you are comparing with later generations, the successor line is covered on the Xiaomi 15T Pro page, which moves to a different chip, a larger screen and a longer telephoto lens.

Xiaomi did not publish a United States price for the 14T Pro; the T series is sold through Xiaomi's own channels in Europe, Asia and other regions rather than through American carriers, so no US list price is given here. For a side-by-side look at the specifications against a mainstream rival, see the Xiaomi 14T Pro vs Galaxy S25 comparison.

Design and display

The 14T Pro measures 160.4 x 75.1 x 8.39 mm and weighs 209 g. Xiaomi describes the frame as aluminium alloy of the 6M13 grade and says it tested the frame as 116 percent stiffer and the whole device as 39 percent stiffer than the 13T series, a figure measured in Xiaomi's own laboratory. The company also describes the finish as inspired by titanium, with three colours listed on its page: Titan Black, Titan Blue and Titan Gray. Protection is rated IP68, which Xiaomi defines as static fresh water to a depth of 2 metres for up to 30 minutes in laboratory conditions; as usual, liquid damage is not covered by the warranty.

The display is a flat AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels, which works out to 446 pixels per inch. Xiaomi lists a peak brightness of 4,000 nits, 12-bit colour (68 billion colours), DCI-P3 coverage, support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, PWM dimming up to 3,840 Hz and a touch sampling rate of up to 480Hz. TÜV Rheinland certificates for low blue light, flicker-free operation and circadian friendliness are also listed. The chin bezel is quoted at 1.9 mm and the screen-to-body ratio at 93.3 percent. The refresh rate tops out at 144Hz, but Xiaomi notes that the real rate varies with the app or game, so the maximum figure applies to supported content only.

Performance and software

The processor is the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+, a 4nm chip with an all-big-core layout: one Cortex-X4 at up to 3.4GHz, three more Cortex-X4 cores at up to 2.85GHz and four Cortex-A720 cores at up to 2.0GHz, plus an Immortalis-G720 MC12 graphics unit and the NPU 790 for generative AI tasks. Xiaomi quotes a 37 percent multi-core gain and a 44 percent graphics gain over the Dimensity 9200+, from its own Geekbench 6 and GFXBench testing. These are manufacturer figures and results will vary.

The memory configuration is 12GB of LPDDR5X with UFS 4.0 storage in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB versions. Xiaomi also offers what it calls Ultra Space, which borrows 8GB, 16GB or 32GB of the storage as extra virtual memory depending on the version; this is not additional physical RAM and its benefit is smaller than the headline number suggests. Cooling is handled by a system Xiaomi calls 3D IceLoop, which it says is the first use of that design in a Xiaomi series. The phone runs Xiaomi HyperOS. Xiaomi's page lists Google Gemini and Circle to Search with Google as supported, together with its own tools such as AI Interpreter, AI Notes, AI Recorder, AI Subtitles, AI Film and AI image editing. The company states that availability of AI features varies by region and that some arrive through later updates.

Camera

The rear camera is the main reason to choose the Pro over the standard model. The main sensor is a 50MP Light Fusion 900 with a 1/1.31-inch size, 2.4 micron pixels after four-in-one binning, an f/1.6 aperture, optical stabilisation and a 23mm equivalent focal length. Xiaomi says the sensor offers 13.5 EV of dynamic range and 14-bit native colour depth. The telephoto camera has 50MP, an f/2.0 aperture and a 60mm equivalent focal length, and the ultrawide is a 12MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 120 degree field of view. The whole set is branded as co-engineered with Leica, with a Summilux lens designation, two Leica colour styles (Authentic and Vibrant) and a set of master-lens portrait looks at 35mm, 50mm, 75mm and 90mm equivalents.

On video, the Pro records up to 8K at 24 or 30 frames per second, 4K at up to 60 frames per second and offers a log format and a Director mode that can use a tablet or second phone as a monitor. Slow motion goes up to 960 frames per second at lower resolutions. The front camera is a 32MP unit with an f/2.0 aperture and can record 4K at 30 frames per second. Compared with the standard 14T, the Pro's larger main sensor and longer telephoto matter most in low light and for portraits; the ultrawide is the same 12MP unit on both phones.

Battery and charging

The battery is rated at 5,000 mAh (typical), which Xiaomi says gives up to 15.7 hours of constant use and holds 80 percent of its capacity after up to 1,600 charge cycles. Charging is where the Pro differs most from many rivals: Xiaomi states 120W wired HyperCharge with a full charge in about 19 minutes in boost mode, and 50W wireless charging with a full charge in about 45 minutes, both measured in its own lab. There is no charger in the box, and the 120W adapter and the wireless charger are sold separately, so the quoted speeds require extra purchases. The charging port is USB Type-C and the phone supports PD 3.0 and PD 2.0 protocols.

Connectivity and extras

Xiaomi lists Wi-Fi 7 (subject to regional support and, in some markets, a later software update), Bluetooth 5.4 with AAC, LDAC and LC3 support, NFC, an infrared blaster, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res certification, and dual SIM operation with nano SIM and eSIM combinations. Navigation covers GPS on L1 and L5 bands plus Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou and NavIC. Security uses an in-screen fingerprint reader and face unlock.

Who it is for

The 14T Pro suits people who want a flagship-class processor, very fast charging and a flexible camera without paying for an ultra-tier phone, and who are comfortable with Xiaomi's software. Heavy gamers benefit from the 144Hz panel and the cooling system, while photographers who shoot in dim places have the larger sensor and the bright f/1.6 lens. Anyone who values a close compact size will find it a large handset at 209 g. You can place it next to its rivals on the phone rankings page.
