The Xiaomi 15T Pro is the top model of Xiaomi's T series, a line that sits between the company's affordable phones and its numbered flagships. It combines a large 6.83-inch flat AMOLED screen that refreshes at up to 144Hz, the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, a 5,500 mAh battery that charges at 90W, and a three-camera Leica-branded system whose most distinctive part is a 115mm periscope telephoto. Xiaomi unveiled it at a global launch event in Munich on 24 September 2025. This page walks through the published specifications, where the phone fits in the market and which compromises to expect. It is based on manufacturer information and specifications rather than hands-on testing.

Where it fits

Xiaomi's numbered range, such as the 15 series, is the home of the very best hardware, while the T series usually reuses the strongest parts of that generation in a simpler package at a lower price. The 15T Pro follows that pattern: it borrows the Leica camera branding and the fast charging of the flagships, but it drops the one-inch main sensor and the second telephoto lens found on the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Xiaomi also sells a standard Xiaomi 15T, and the Pro model is the one with the periscope lens and a higher-end chip. There is no official US list price to quote, since the T series was launched for Europe, Asia and other regions rather than through American carriers.

In practice, the closest rivals are slightly cheaper or similarly priced flagships from other brands. A direct specification comparison with Samsung's compact flagship is on the Xiaomi 15T Pro vs Galaxy S25 page, and Google's current flagship is covered by the Xiaomi 15T Pro vs Pixel 10 comparison.

Design and display

The phone measures 162.7 x 77.9 x 7.96 mm and weighs 210 g, which makes it noticeably slimmer than the Ultra model despite a similar battery size. It comes in black, gray and a warm metallic finish that Xiaomi calls Mocha Gold. Water and dust protection is rated IP68; Xiaomi describes the test as submersion in static fresh water to a depth of 3 metres for up to 30 minutes, which is a more demanding figure than the 1.5 metres often quoted. As with all such claims, Xiaomi stresses that this applies to laboratory conditions and that liquid damage is not covered by the warranty.

The display is a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with a flat front, 2772 x 1280 pixels (about 447 pixels per inch) and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. Xiaomi lists a peak brightness of 3200 nits across 25 percent of the display area, which tells you the headline figure applies to small bright highlights rather than a full white screen. Touch sampling is 480Hz in normal use, rising to an instantaneous 2560Hz in Game Turbo mode. The panel supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, DC dimming and TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light, flicker-free viewing and circadian friendliness. The front is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, a tougher but not the very top grade of Corning glass. A 32MP selfie camera sits in a small hole in the panel and the fingerprint sensor is under the screen.

Performance and software

The Dimensity 9400+ is built on a 3nm process and has one Cortex-X925 core at up to 3.73GHz, three Cortex-X4 cores at up to 3.3GHz and four Cortex-A720 cores at up to 2.4GHz, with an Immortalis-G925 MC12 graphics unit and an NPU 890 for AI tasks. It is paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage in 256GB, 512GB or 1TB versions. For a phone at this price, that is a flagship-class set of components, and the only caveat is the usual one: no benchmark on a spec sheet tells you how well the phone holds its speed during long gaming sessions. Xiaomi cools the phone with a system it calls 3D IceLoop and does not publish sustained-performance figures.

The phone launched with Xiaomi HyperOS 2, and Xiaomi says HyperOS 3 would reach it over the air from the end of October 2025 in selected regions. The company's HyperAI suite covers writing assistance, speech recognition, an interpreter, search and dynamic wallpapers, with Circle to Search and Google Gemini integrated; Xiaomi cautions that some tools are only available in certain regions and languages. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 capability (subject to local support), Bluetooth 6.0, NFC and a broad list of 5G bands, with dual nano SIM, nano SIM plus eSIM, or dual eSIM. There are dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, an infrared blaster and a three-microphone array.

Camera system

The 15T Pro has three rear cameras tuned with Leica and a Summilux lens designation (15 to 115mm equivalent):

The standout is the 115mm lens, which is a real optical telephoto rather than a crop and is relatively uncommon at this price. Its f/3.0 aperture is narrow, so low-light zoom shots will depend on stabilisation and processing. Xiaomi's master-lens system offers 23, 35, 46, 75 and 115mm shooting modes. Video goes up to 8K at 30fps, 4K at up to 120fps, and includes HDR10+ recording and log-style profiles. The selfie camera is 32MP with an f/2.2 lens and records 4K at 30fps. The ultrawide's 12MP resolution is a weaker point than on the Ultra, which has a 50MP ultrawide, and some buyers may notice this in detail when cropping.

Battery and charging

The battery is rated at 5,500 mAh typical and uses Xiaomi's Surge branding. Charging is 90W wired and 50W wireless. Xiaomi says the box contains a cable, a protective case and paperwork but no power adapter, so you must supply a charger and Xiaomi recommends its 90W or stronger model to reach the headline speed. Wireless chargers are sold separately. At this capacity and with a 144Hz screen that can be set lower, battery life should be good for a full day of typical use, though real results depend on settings, signal quality and camera use.

Who it is for

The 15T Pro suits people who want most of a flagship's strengths without paying Ultra prices: a bright flat screen, fast charging, a strong chipset and a proper long telephoto lens. It also suits users who prefer a slim, light body to a heavy camera-focused phone, and those who like to zoom into distant subjects. It is a sensible step down for fans of the 15 Ultra who do not need the extreme camera hardware.

Compromises

The main trade-offs are the ones Xiaomi makes to sit below the Ultra: a smaller main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide, no second telephoto lens and a Gorilla Glass 7i front instead of the newest glass. Wireless charging is slower than the Ultra's, and no adapter is included. The T series is not sold through US carriers, and software features vary by region. HyperOS is more heavily customised than Google's own Android, and the number of promised update years should be checked on Xiaomi's regional pages.
