The OPPO Pad SE is an 11-inch Android tablet that OPPO introduced on 28 June 2025 as an affordable family and study device. It combines a 1920 x 1200 LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 9,340 mAh battery with 33W charging, a metal body only 7.39 mm thick and an optional Anti-Reflective Matte Display. The processor is a MediaTek Helio G100, a modest chip in keeping with the price class. This page is based on the published specifications and manufacturer information, and it looks at the tablet's place in the range, its design and screen, performance and software, the cameras, battery life, who it suits and its compromises.

Place in the lineup

OPPO announced the Pad SE alongside the Reno14 series, as an entry-level addition to a tablet range that also includes the Pad 3 Pro, the Pad 3, the Pad Neo and the Pad 2. It is the simplest of those, with a basic processor and low-resolution cameras, but it keeps a few attractive touches such as a large battery, quad speakers and a matte screen option borrowed from pricier OPPO tablets. OPPO says it will roll out gradually to additional markets and asks buyers to check local announcements for pricing and availability, so no US price is given here. Two versions exist: a Wi-Fi model and an LTE model with a Nano-SIM slot. In the same price territory you can compare it with the realme Pad 3, the HONOR MagicPad 4 and, a step up, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro. A data comparison is available at OPPO Pad SE vs realme Pad 3. For a sense of where mainstream tablets sit at the top of the market, the Pixel Tablet and the Galaxy Tab S9 show what a larger budget buys.

Design and display

The Pad SE measures about 254.91 x 166.46 x 7.39 mm. OPPO lists a weight of about 530 g for the standard screen and about 527 g for the matte screen. The body is metal, in two colours: Starlight Silver and Twilight Blue. On the back there is a single round camera and a horizontal band that separates the upper section from the rest of the panel, and the OPPO logo sits in the middle. OPPO says the sleek, lightweight design is easy for both children and adults to hold.

The screen is an 11-inch LCD with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, a pixel density of 207 ppi and a screen ratio of 85.3 percent. The refresh rate is adaptive, switching between 60 and 90Hz, though OPPO notes the maximum rate works only in certain apps. Touch sampling is 180Hz, brightness is listed as 500 nits typical, and the colour gamut is 98 percent in Vivid mode, with billion-colour (8 + 2 bit) depth. The tablet includes TUV Rheinland certifications for low blue light and flicker-free operation, and its Bedtime Mode adjusts brightness according to the surrounding light.

The standout option is the Anti-Reflective Matte Display, available on certain versions. OPPO says nano-level etching eliminates 97 percent of environmental glare according to its own tests, and it carries TUV Rheinland certification for Reflection Free and Paper Like Display. OPPO calls it a first for the price range. A matte finish also gives the screen a slightly paper-like texture, which can help for reading and note-taking in bright rooms, though some people find matte coatings slightly soften fine detail. The audio side is a quad-speaker set with what OPPO calls omnibearing sound-field technology, which on paper is more than most tablets of this price offer.

Performance and software

The MediaTek Helio G100 has eight cores and is paired with an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 graphics unit. This is a chip for video streaming, web browsing, reading, video calls and light games, not for demanding 3D titles. Memory is LPDDR4X. The Wi-Fi model is listed with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and the LTE model with 4GB, 6GB or 8GB, always with 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage; the configurations available differ by market and colour. The tablet supports USB OTG, so you can attach accessories.

The tablet runs ColorOS 15.0.1; the spec sheet does not name the Android version behind it. OPPO highlights several software features. Google Gemini is the assistant, which can set alarms, plan schedules and look things up. AI Photo Remaster tools include Reflection Remover, Unblur, Clarity Enhancer and AI Eraser, and the AI Intelligent Document tools offer summaries, rewriting and translation. The Personalized Kids Mode lets parents control app permissions, internet access and screen time, and it is reachable from the home screen. OPPO also promises 36 months of fluency protection, tested in its labs, and a Smart Power Saving mode that switches the tablet off after seven days of inactivity so that it can still power on after as long as 800 days of idling. These are manufacturer figures from OPPO's testing and are best treated as claims.

Cross-device features are another focus. O+ Connect shares photos, videos and files with other devices, including iOS devices. Communication Sharing lets the Wi-Fi tablet borrow the phone's mobile data and location when the two are close, with a paired OPPO phone logged in to the same account; OPPO notes it is not available in the EU or Japan or on the LTE version. Screen mirroring shows phone notifications on the tablet, and drag-and-drop moves files between the two. These tools work best if you also own an OPPO phone with a recent ColorOS version.

Cameras

The tablet has a 5MP rear camera (f/2.2, autofocus) and a 5MP front camera (f/2.2, fixed focus). Video is limited to 1080p at 30fps and 720p at 30fps on both sides. These cameras are good enough for document scans, video calls and the odd photo, but nobody should buy a tablet like this for photography. Shooting modes include photo, video, time-lapse, sticker and panorama on the rear camera and a retouch mode and screen fill light on the front camera. Face unlock is supported, and there is no fingerprint reader listed.

Battery and charging

The battery is rated 9,098 mAh in rated terms and 9,340 mAh typical, which corresponds to 35.12 Wh and 36.06 Wh. OPPO says it delivers up to 11 hours of continuous online video playback or 80 hours of music playback in its own tests. Charging is SUPERVOOC 33W, with PPS, QC and PD support at 9V 2A, so a compatible charger is needed for full speed. OPPO claims the tablet is class-leading on battery size for its segment. A 9,340 mAh cell with a 1920 x 1200 LCD at 90Hz is a good combination for endurance, although the 11-hour video figure is OPPO's own lab number and real results will vary with brightness and apps.

Who it is for

The Pad SE suits families that want one shared tablet for streaming, homework and video calls, particularly with younger children who benefit from the Kids Mode and a lightweight metal body. It also fits students who read a lot of PDFs and e-books and who may prefer the matte display. If you already use an OPPO phone, the cross-device features add value. For a broader view of the category, the rankings help place it against other tablets on the site.

Compromises

In short, the OPPO Pad SE puts its budget into battery size, a comfortable screen and family features, and holds back on processor, cameras and display sharpness. If those priorities fit, it is a sensible entry-level tablet; if you need more speed or a sharper screen, look at the tablets linked above.
