The Huawei WATCH FIT 5 Pro is a rectangular smartwatch that Huawei introduced at its global launch event in Bangkok on May 7, 2026, alongside the standard WATCH FIT 5. It pairs a large 1.92-inch AMOLED display and sapphire glass with a titanium-alloy bezel, 64 GB of storage, dual-band GPS and a battery that Huawei rates at up to 10 days in light use. Huawei's own page does not state a global price, and prices differ by market, so none is listed here. The watch works with both Android and iOS phones. This page is based on the published specifications and manufacturer information, and it covers the place in the lineup, the design and display, sports and health features, battery life, and the compromises.

Place in the lineup

The FIT series is Huawei's slim, fitness-oriented line, separate from the round GT series and the WATCH numbered series. In this catalogue, the Huawei Watch GT 7 is the round alternative with a bigger battery, and the Huawei Watch 6 is the health-focused model from the WATCH numbered series. The FIT 5 Pro is the higher model of its own pair, sold next to the standard WATCH FIT 5; this page covers only the Pro, whose sapphire glass, titanium bezel and feature set are described on Huawei's page. Among rivals, the Samsung Galaxy Watch8 and the Amazfit Balance 3 aim at a similar buyer who wants a health-and-fitness watch with multi-day battery life. A direct comparison is available at WATCH FIT 5 Pro vs Galaxy Watch8, and the rankings show where it sits among other watches.

Design and display

Huawei lists the case at 44.5 x 40.8 mm and 9.5 mm thick, excluding the sensor area, and a weight of about 30.4 g without the strap. That is light for a watch with a screen this large, and it suits wrists from 130 to 210 mm. The bezel is a titanium alloy; the mid-frame is aluminum alloy. Huawei offers three finishes: Orange with a gradient AirDry woven nylon strap, White with a fluoroelastomer strap and a ceramic-like nanoceramic metal surface created by micro-arc oxidation, and Black with a fluoroelastomer strap. Huawei says an oil-filling design is used to lock in the colors, and the strap options are chosen for sweat, water and skin comfort, although nylon straps are not meant for swimming according to Huawei's water guidance.

The display is a 1.92-inch flexible AMOLED panel at 480 x 408 pixels (328 ppi) with a 2.5D sapphire cover. Huawei quotes an adaptive 1 to 60 Hz LTPO refresh rate, which can drop to save power while idle, and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits measured in its own lab at a full-screen average picture level. The company also states bezels of just 1.8 mm and an 83 percent screen-to-body ratio. Controls are a rotating crown that doubles as the home button, plus a side button. Water resistance is 5 ATM, with IP6X dust protection and a dive rating to 40 meters under the EN13319 standard for free dives, with Huawei listing a number of conditions, such as hot showers and saunas, for which the watch should not be worn.

Sports and tracking

Huawei lists more than 100 workout modes and highlights a handful in detail. Running shows heart rate, pace, calories and intensity in real time, with running power. Trail running uses what Huawei calls its Sunflower Positioning System, with estimated remaining time and distance, elevation and grade data, route navigation and off-course alerts, and a rated 25 hours in Trail run mode. Cycling adds grade, virtual power and virtual cadence, automatic ride detection, fall detection and an FTP test with an external power meter. Golf offers maps of more than 17,000 courses, a customizable flagstick position and a live scorecard. Freediving supports apnea tests and dives of up to 40 meters with a hover timer and water-type identification. Ball sports use the Tennix app to count forehand and backhand shots, and third-party apps such as Goodshot and PickleX cover badminton and pickleball.

A feature specific to this generation is mini-workout, which tracks ten body parts and gives 30 animated movements with step-by-step guidance, aimed at short breaks during the day. A panda character on a dedicated watch face demonstrates the movements and unlocks city landmarks as you move more. Positioning covers dual-band GPS (L1 + L5), GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS and NavIC.

Health and software

The health suite uses the HUAWEI TruSense system for heart rate, blood oxygen, emotion and sleep. The sensor list on the specification page includes an optical heart rate sensor, an ECG sensor, a temperature sensor, a barometer, a depth sensor, an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a magnetometer and an ambient light sensor. The TruSleep 5.0 algorithm reports sleep stages, stability and the relation between breathing and heart rate. The page describes an ECG analysis prompted after exercise, pulse wave arrhythmia analysis that alerts for possible atrial fibrillation or premature beats, women's health predictions using temperature and vital signs, a diabetes risk study based on 3 to 14 days of vital signs, and an emotional wellbeing app that tracks twelve emotions. Huawei states that the product is not intended for medical use and that results are for reference only, and a footnote notes that one feature will arrive by an over-the-air update, so availability can vary by market and software version.

The watch connects over Bluetooth 6.0 with NFC support and has a speaker and microphone. It needs Android 9.0 or later, or iOS 13.0 or later, with the Huawei Health app. Storage is 64 GB, which Huawei says is meant for watch faces, music, maps and apps. A free three-month Huawei Health+ membership is included with purchase, according to the page. The page does not name the watch operating system version.

Battery life

Huawei rates the battery at up to 10 days with light use, up to 7 days with typical use and up to 4 days with the always-on display enabled, all measured in the company's labs under stated conditions. Trail run mode is rated at 25 hours. The company says the high-silicon battery has 14 percent greater density and 18 percent more capacity than before, but it does not publish a capacity in mAh. Charging is wireless with a second-generation SuperCharger, and Huawei's lab data gives 60 minutes to reach full capacity with the included adapter. The test conditions for the typical-use figure include 180 minutes of exercise a week, always-on heart rate monitoring and stress tracking, so heavier users with GPS workouts should expect lower numbers.

Who it is for

It is less suited to those who depend on a large third-party app store, payments in every region or an operating system with the same app depth as Wear OS or watchOS.

Compromises

In summary, the WATCH FIT 5 Pro offers a large, bright sapphire AMOLED display, a light titanium-bezel build, 64 GB of storage, dual-band GPS and a broad sports and health feature list in a slim form. Its limits are the rectangular design's shorter battery life compared with Huawei's round watches, and the fact that some health features and the final price vary by market.
