The HONOR 600 is the standard model of Honor's 2026 600 series. It keeps the headline hardware of the higher-specified HONOR 600 Pro: the same 6.57-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen, the same 200MP main camera, the same 6400 mAh battery with 80W wired charging and the same 7.8 mm unibody with an IP69K rating. What changes is the engine and the camera extras: the 600 uses a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, has 8GB of memory, drops the periscope telephoto and wireless charging, and weighs about 185 grams. This page is a review based on the published specifications and manufacturer information, so every performance and brightness number is a manufacturer claim rather than a measured result. It covers where the phone sits in the lineup, its design and display, the performance and software, the camera, the battery, who should consider it and where the compromises lie.

Place in the lineup

Honor places the 600 below the Pro in the same family. Both phones share the screen, the main camera, the battery and the colour options, which means the gap between them is limited to the processor, the memory, the zoom camera, the wireless charging and about ten grams of weight. That makes the 600 the sensible starting point for buyers who want the large battery and the 200MP sensor but do not need flagship-class processing. Honor's UK product page does not list an on-sale date or a United States price, so no US price is given and the release date on this site is approximate. Within the same price conversation, readers often compare it with the Galaxy A57, and the page HONOR 600 vs Galaxy A57 sets the two out side by side. A step up inside the family is the HONOR 600 vs HONOR 600 Pro comparison.

Design and display

The body measures 156.0 x 74.7 x 7.8 mm, the same footprint as the Pro, and the weight is about 185 grams including the battery. Honor describes a precision-carved unibody, a matte metal frame, symmetrical large-radius corners and a black bezel of 0.98 mm, which it calls the narrowest on the market. That is Honor's own statement and has not been verified here. On the back, the camera island holds two lenses and a flash, and an AI Camera and 200MP OIS marking is printed on it. The colours are Orange, Golden White and Black.

The phone carries the same IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings as the Pro, which together cover dust, immersion and high-pressure hot-water jets, and Honor lists an SGS drop-resistance certification. The company reminds buyers that the protection is not permanent. The display is a 6.57-inch AMOLED panel with 2728 x 1264 pixels, roughly 458 pixels per inch, 1.07 billion colours, a DCI-P3 gamut and a 120Hz refresh rate. Honor quotes an HDR peak brightness of 8,000 nits, a short-burst value for small bright areas, and a Sunlight Mode that adjusts contrast and colour outdoors. Eye comfort features include 3840Hz PWM dimming, a minimum brightness of 1 nit and an AI defocus mode, and the screen is certified for HDR by Netflix and Amazon according to the product page. For a phone in this class, a 120Hz AMOLED screen with these specifications is a clear strength.

Performance and software

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 is an upper mid-range platform with an Adreno 722 graphics unit. The memory options are 8GB with either 256GB or 512GB of storage, and Honor notes that the usable space is smaller because the system takes some of it. Honor markets the chip as the next generation of its Snapdragon 7 class and quotes improvements of 27 percent for the CPU, 30 percent for the GPU and 65 percent for the NPU; the pages do not say what these figures are measured against, so they should be treated as marketing claims. In everyday use, a chip of this class handles messaging, video, social apps and most games, but it will not match the Snapdragon 8 Elite of the Pro in heavy 3D games or long sustained loads. No independent sustained-performance data is available yet.

The software is MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. Honor offers the same AI package as on the Pro: AI Image to Video 2.0, a start-and-end-frame video mode, an AI Photo Agent that edits pictures from a spoken instruction, deepfake and voice-clone detection, and Google Gemini. The company states that Image to Video 2.0 is an optional premium cloud service, not a hardware feature, and that it is not included in the purchase price. Early adopters who activated their phone before 31 July 2026 receive ten free uses a day for the first 76 days, and everyone else gets ten uses per 30-day cycle, with additional uses sold individually. Honor also advertises one-tap connection with iPhone and Mac. The sources we used do not state how many years of Android and security updates are promised, so that should be checked before buying.

Camera

The rear system has two cameras. The main one is a 200MP sensor, described as 1/1.4-inch, with an f/1.9 aperture and optical image stabilisation, and the second is a 12MP ultrawide camera with a 112-degree field of view. Honor says optical and electronic stabilisation combine to reach CIPA 6.0 for steadier handheld night shots, and it claims that its AI RAW model improves clarity by 50 percent in low light without naming the baseline. Digital zoom goes up to 30x, noticeably less than the 120x of the Pro, because there is no telephoto lens; AI Super Zoom 2.0 is a cloud-based mode meant to sharpen distant subjects. Photos can be saved at up to 16384 x 12288 pixels and video goes up to 3840 x 2160.

The selfie camera is a 50MP unit with an f/2.0 aperture, and face unlock is 2D, so it is not suited to secure payments in the way a 3D system would be; a fingerprint sensor is also listed. The main limitation is the lack of a real zoom lens. Anything beyond the main camera's own crop relies on digital processing, which is the main photographic reason to step up to the Pro with its 3.5x periscope. The 12MP ultrawide is serviceable but not remarkable, and Honor lists a Super Macro mode among the shooting modes without naming a dedicated lens.

Battery and charging

The 6400 mAh battery (typical value) is identical to the Pro's and is the strongest part of the specification for a phone that weighs only 185 grams. Honor does not give hours of use in the pages we used, so endurance can only be judged from the capacity, which is large for a phone this light. Wired charging reaches 80W with the HONOR SuperCharge adapter, and the phone can also supply 27W of wired reverse charging to earbuds or another phone. There is no wireless charging on the 600, which is the main difference from the Pro in daily use. The connector is USB Type-C, and Honor says the European package includes a C-to-C cable.

Who it is for

The 600 suits people who care most about battery life, screen quality and a high-resolution main camera, and who are happy to skip optical zoom and wireless charging. Students, commuters and anyone who prefers a lighter phone with strong durability ratings fit that description. It is also a good match for buyers who would otherwise consider a mid-range Samsung or Google phone but want a bigger battery. The Pixel 9a is a point of comparison for those who put software support first. The rankings page shows how it stands among the other phones on the site.

Compromises

The compromises are fairly clear. There is no telephoto lens and no wireless charging, face unlock is 2D only, and the chip is a step below the flagship class. Honor's brightness, bezel and AI clarity figures are manufacturer claims made under specific conditions. Image-to-video generation relies on a cloud service with a limited free allowance. Wi-Fi is listed up to the 802.11ax generation and Bluetooth is version 5.4, one step behind the Pro's Wi-Fi 802.11be and Bluetooth 6.0. The update period is not stated in the sources used, and prices and availability vary by country. The series is new, so independent battery and long-term reliability tests are not yet available.
