The realme C71 is a budget phone that puts almost all of its effort into one number: 6300 mAh. Around that very large battery realme has fitted 45W wired charging, a 6.67-inch 120Hz screen, up to 8GB of physical RAM and a UNISOC T7250 processor, then added two things that are unusual at this level, a military-style shock test and a small glowing ring on the back called the Pulse Light. This page is based on the published specifications and the manufacturer's own product information, and it separates what realme states from what it only suggests.
How the C71 fits into realme's range
The C series is realme's entry tier. It sits well below the numbered line, for example the realme 15, and below the performance-minded realme Narzo 90. Its job is not to compete on cameras or processors but to offer a long-lasting, durable handset for people who spend more on their phone's survival than on its speed. Realme's page does not give a launch date or a price, so any figure you see elsewhere needs to be checked against a local retailer.
It shares its chipset family with the POCO C71, which also uses the UNISOC T7250, but the two phones are tuned very differently. The POCO leans on a larger 6.88-inch screen and a headphone jack, while the realme leans on battery capacity and charging speed.
Battery: the reason this phone exists
The 6300 mAh cell is the headline, and realme backs it with a set of its own test results. The company says one hour of charging gives two days of heavy use, and quotes 15.4 hours of TikTok playback, 9.3 hours of Mobile Legends gaming and a standby time of 770.2 hours. These are laboratory numbers, so treat them as a ranking tool between phones tested the same way rather than as a guarantee of what you will see with your own apps and signal strength.
Charging runs at 45W by wire. Realme states that the phone reaches 50 percent in 36 minutes, adds 16 percent in a ten-minute top-up and gives 4.4 hours of calling after five minutes plugged in. It also supports 6W reverse charging, which means the phone can top up a pair of earbuds or another handset in a pinch, slowly. No wireless charging is listed. The real caveat is mass: a cell this size makes the phone 196 g, which is heavier than the Tecno Spark 40 (188 g) at a similar thickness, and it will feel dense in the hand.
Design: the Pulse Light and two colours
The body is 7.79 mm thick, and realme names the design Light Feather, with a rear pattern in the two colours it shows on the page, White Swan and Forest Owl. The green one is the more striking in the official pictures, with a feather texture fading from dark to teal. The Pulse Light is a ring around the camera lens that glows in several selectable modes,, and realme says the modes let you know at a glance what is going on. It is a matter of taste whether that is useful or only a gimmick, but it does give the phone a recognisable look that most phones at this price do not have.
There is also a durability story. Realme calls the build Armorshell and says it passed a military-grade shock test (MIL-STD-810H) for drops from up to 1.5 metres, using corner protection, foam and a reinforced aluminium structure inside. The phone is described as protected against everyday spills, splashes and dust, but realme uses the phrase "daily water resistance" instead of an IP rating, so the page gives no formal, numbered level of protection. In practice that means you should avoid immersion and treat it as splash-proof at best.
Display
The screen is 6.67 inches with a 120Hz refresh rate, a maximum brightness of 725 nits and touch sampling up to 240Hz. Realme markets it as an Eye Comfort Display with real DC dimming. The company's page does not list the resolution or the panel type, so you should check these on a local listing before buying. Expect a clearly smooth interface, as 120Hz is a high bar for a phone at this level, and expect that the 725 nit peak figure applies to specific situations rather than to everyday full-screen brightness.
Touch behaviour is worth a mention. Realme highlights a Smart Touch feature that stays responsive with wet hands, oily hands or gloves, and a SonicWave function that uses the speaker's vibration to push water out of the speaker grille. These are the sort of details that make sense for a phone that is expected to be used outdoors on a daily basis.
Performance and memory
The UNISOC T7250 has eight cores, a 12nm process and a top clock of 1.8GHz, and realme says it scores above 280,000 in AnTuTu and keeps Mobile Legends at a stable 60 frames per second for an hour. These figures place it as a basic chip, adequate for messaging, video, navigation and light games. Heavier 3D games will push it beyond comfort, and the 12nm process is a generation behind most of the market.
The memory arrangement is clearer than on many phones: realme states that there is 8GB of physical RAM and that up to 16GB more can be borrowed from storage, giving the advertised 24GB of "dynamic RAM". Only the 8GB is real memory. Storage goes up to 256GB. The page does not say which storage standard is used, nor which combinations are sold, so check the exact variant on offer in your country.
Camera
The camera is described as a 50MP AI camera. Realme does not list any other lens or a front camera resolution on this page, and shows film simulations named Emerald, Fresh and Clear, which are filters applied to the image. A single 50MP sensor is a sensible choice at this price, where a second or third lens would usually be a token sensor. Do not expect strong low-light results or high-quality video from a UNISOC-based phone, and consider the camera adequate for daylight snapshots and simple social posts.
Software and extras
The phone runs realme UI on Android 15. The software list is long for a phone at this level: Call Noise Reduction 2.0, Clear Face for sharpening blurry portraits, Image Matting, an Eraser tool, Circle to Search and Google Gemini access. Interface features include Large Folder, an Always-On Display, Privacy Safe encryption for files, and a Mini Capsule area at the top of the screen. A Riding Mode 2.0 prioritises navigation and calls while you are on a motorbike, and a 400 percent volume option and a Signal Hunter antenna address use in noisy or weak-signal places. Realme gives no update commitment on this page, so how long these features will keep working is unknown.
Who it suits and what to accept
- Heavy users on a tight budget who care more about getting through two days than about benchmarks.
- Outdoor and delivery work, where shock resistance, a loud speaker and wet-touch handling count.
- Younger buyers who like the glowing ring and a distinctive back.
The compromises are the age of the chip, the weight, the lack of a stated water-resistance rating and the unknown front camera.
