The Infinix GT 30 Pro is a gaming-oriented smartphone from the brand Infinix, announced in May 2025 as part of its third-generation GT series. It pairs a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chip with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display that refreshes at up to 144 Hz, a 5,500 mAh battery and a rear design with lighting effects, and it adds shoulder controls that Infinix calls GT Triggers. This page is based on the published specifications and manufacturer information from Infinix's regional product pages. Infinix sells the phone through regional sites that quote local prices, and the pages checked here did not state a US price, so none is quoted. The sections below explain where it sits in the market, what it offers and where it compromises.
Where it sits in the lineup
Infinix is best known for affordable phones such as the Infinix Hot 60 Pro, which focus on large batteries and bright screens at low prices. The GT line is the brand's performance series, and the GT 30 Pro is the top model of the 30 generation. It competes less with mainstream mid-rangers and more with gaming-oriented phones from brands such as REDMAGIC, which you can see in our GT 30 Pro versus REDMAGIC 10S Pro comparison, and with performance-focused models such as the POCO F8 Ultra. Infinix describes the phone as an all-day full-FPS system and markets it as a 5.5G device, a label that depends on local carrier support.
Design and display
The phone measures 163.7 by 75.8 by 7.99 millimetres and weighs 188 or 189 grams depending on the colour. There are three finishes: Dark Flare, Shadow Ash and Blade White. The back carries what Infinix calls mechanical light waves, a lighting feature on the rear panel, and the camera module is arranged in a vertical strip. The look is deliberately gamer-styled, with angular panels and red accents on the dark version, while the lighter versions are more subdued.
The display is a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel at 1224 by 2720 pixels, which Infinix calls 1.5K. The refresh rate options are 60, 90, 120 and 144 Hz, and the touch sampling rate is up to 240 Hz, with an instant touch sampling rate of 2,160 Hz for gaming. Brightness is quoted at 700 nits typical, 1,600 nits in high-brightness mode and 4,500 nits at peak. Colour coverage is 100 percent DCI-P3, the panel uses PWM dimming at up to 2,304 Hz, and the phone carries a TÜV low-blue-light certification and an always-on display option. The cover glass is Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The screen-to-body ratio is listed at 93.7 percent. These are manufacturer figures; peak brightness numbers in particular apply to small areas of the screen under specific conditions, so everyday brightness will be lower.
Water and dust resistance is IP64, which means protection against dust and splashing water but not immersion. That is a lower level than the IP68 ratings on many flagships, but it is still welcome in a gaming phone.
Performance and software
The Dimensity 8350 Ultimate is a 4 nm octa-core chip with four Cortex-A715 cores at up to 3.35 GHz and four Cortex-A510 cores at up to 2.2 GHz, paired with a Mali-G615 MC6 graphics processor. It is positioned below the very top chips from Qualcomm and MediaTek but should still be strong for demanding games at high settings. Memory is LPDDR5X and storage is UFS 4.0, with configurations of 12 GB of RAM plus 256 GB or 512 GB of storage. Infinix also offers 12 GB of extended RAM, which uses storage as virtual memory; it can help with multitasking but is not equal to physical RAM, so it should be seen as a convenience feature. For ranking purposes the physical RAM of 12 GB is what counts.
Gaming features include the GT Trigger shoulder buttons, an X-axis vibration motor and the high touch sampling rate. The software is XOS 15 based on Android 15, with Infinix AI features layered on top. Dual speakers with Hi-Res audio support, Widevine L1 for HD streaming, an infrared blaster, FM radio and NFC are also on the list. The connectivity side offers 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 and USB Type-C with OTG. Wi-Fi 6 rather than Wi-Fi 7 is another sign of where the phone is positioned. Infinix's pages checked here did not state a software update commitment, so it is not quoted.
Network support is worth a quick look before importing the phone. Infinix lists 5G bands n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n12, n20, n28, n66 and n71 for FDD and n38, n40, n41, n77 and n78 for TDD, plus a broad set of 4G bands. The company adds that bandwidth availability and connectivity can vary by region and local provider. Notably, the list does not include some bands used by North American carriers, so US buyers in particular should confirm compatibility with their network before ordering.
Camera
The rear camera system is led by a 108-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.89 lens and phase-detection autofocus, supported by an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera with a 111.4-degree field of view and autofocus. A dual flash completes the module. The front camera is a 13-megapixel fixed-focus unit with an f/2.2 lens. Video recording goes up to 4K at 60 frames per second on the rear cameras and 4K at 30 fps on the front, with slow motion at 1080p up to 240 fps. Modes listed include Vlog, Portrait, Super Night, Dual Video, Pro and Super Macro.
As with most gaming phones, the camera is not the headline feature. A high-resolution main sensor is useful in good light, but the specification list shows no dedicated telephoto lens, and an 8-megapixel ultrawide is modest. If photography is a priority, a similarly priced non-gaming phone may be a better choice.
Battery and charging
The battery is rated at 5,500 mAh typical. Charging is up to 45W by cable, with reverse wired charging at up to 10W, and 30W wireless charging with reverse wireless charging at up to 5W. Having wireless charging at all is relatively rare in this segment and a real differentiator. Infinix notes that different voltage inputs can affect the maximum charging power in some regions. Some regional listings and the launch announcement mention a smaller battery in certain markets, so check the specification of the version sold where you live before you buy.
Who it is for
The GT 30 Pro suits people who play demanding mobile games, want a bright 144 Hz AMOLED screen and enjoy a gamer look, but do not want to pay flagship prices. The shoulder triggers and the high touch sampling rate help with shooters and racing games, and the combination of wired, wireless and reverse charging offers unusual flexibility.
Compromises to consider
The IP64 rating is modest, the ultrawide camera is basic and there is no telephoto lens. The chip is strong but not the top of the market, and sustained gaming performance depends on thermals that independent testing would need to confirm. The extended RAM is a software feature, not extra hardware. Software support terms were not stated on the pages reviewed, and Infinix's availability varies by country, so check local pricing and warranty.
