The OnePlus Pad Lite is the entry-level tablet in OnePlus's lineup: an 11-inch 1920 x 1200 screen with a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz, a MediaTek Helio G100 chip, a 9,340 mAh battery with 33W charging and four speakers. OnePlus's India launch page states an open sale on 1 August 2025, and that date is used here because the global product page only invites pre-orders and gives no other date. This review is based on the published specifications and manufacturer information, and battery, display and smoothness figures that come from OnePlus's own test laboratory are treated as claims, not independent measurements.
Where it fits in the lineup
The Pad Lite sits at the bottom of the OnePlus tablet range, below the flagship-class OnePlus Pad 3, which has a 13.2-inch 144 Hz display, a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and a 12,140 mAh battery. The more direct neighbour is the OnePlus Pad Go 2, and the Pad Lite vs Pad Go 2 comparison lines up the two budget models. Two memory options are listed: 6 GB of RAM with 128 GB of storage on the Wi-Fi model and 8 GB with 128 GB on the LTE model. The only colour shown on the specification sheet is Aero Blue. OnePlus positions the tablet at students, families and casual media users, and the company's launch page quotes an India starting price of 12,999 rupees including discount coupons. No US launch price is stated on the official pages used for this review, so none is listed.
Design and build
The tablet measures about 254.91 x 166.46 mm and is about 7.39 mm thick, with a weight of about 530 g. The screen-to-body ratio is listed at 85.3 percent, and the back carries a single round camera at one corner. OnePlus does not give a build material or a durability rating on the specification sheet, so the usual caution applies: a tablet of this class should be handled with a case. It supports unlocking by facial recognition only, because there is no fingerprint sensor listed. The contents of the box are the tablet, a USB Type-C cable, a quick start guide and the safety and warranty documents. No charger is named, so a 33W SUPERVOOC-compatible adapter may need to be bought separately, and OnePlus notes that adapter availability and specifications vary by country.
Display
The 11-inch (27.94 cm) LCD panel has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels (207 ppi) and a 16:10 aspect ratio, which suits video and reading in landscape. OnePlus notes that the corner-rounded display measures 10.95 inches when taken as a standard rectangle. Brightness is quoted as 500 nits at its peak in lab testing, colour depth is 10 bit (8+2 bit), the colour gamut is 70.8 percent NTSC, and the refresh rate adapts between 60 and 90 Hz. Touch sampling is 180 Hz. These are modest figures that put the panel firmly in the budget category: the 90 Hz refresh rate helps with scrolling, but 500 nits and a modest colour gamut mean it is best suited to indoor use. OnePlus includes its Eye Comfort technology, which it says reduces blue light and flicker in low light.
Performance and software
The processor is the MediaTek Helio G100, described by OnePlus as an octa-core chip. It is an everyday-use processor rather than a gaming one, and the specification sheet gives no GPU, storage-type or benchmark information, so expectations should be set for browsing, streaming, video calls and light gaming. The tablet runs OxygenOS 15 (listed as version 15.0.1). OnePlus claims the combination of OxygenOS 15 and the Helio G100 will keep the system smooth for 36 months, based on its own test laboratory data. Open Canvas allows two apps to be shown side by side with a resizable split, and a Kids Mode offers a simplified child-friendly desktop with parental controls and Eye Care enabled by default. Cross-Screen Transmission lets the tablet work as a second screen for a OnePlus phone running OxygenOS 13.1 or later, with screen mirroring and Content Sync for the clipboard and media. For iPhone and other Android phones, OnePlus describes file sharing through its O+ Connect app or Quick Share.
Camera
The cameras are the weakest part of the specification. Both the rear and front cameras are 5 MP, and video is limited to 1080p or 720p at 30 fps. OnePlus presents them as sufficient for classroom study, digital note-taking and scanning documents, which is a fair description. They are not intended for photography, and the video-call picture will be basic.
Battery and charging
The battery is the Pad Lite's other main selling point. The capacity is 9,340 mAh typical and 9,098 mAh rated, and OnePlus quotes test-lab figures of about 80 hours of music playback, 11 hours of video playback and 54 days of standby. Wired charging is 33W SUPERVOOC and needs an adapter that supports the SUPERVOOC protocol at 33W or higher. Since the box contents list no adapter, the stated 33W speed depends on what the buyer already owns or purchases. These are lab figures under controlled conditions, and real-world endurance depends on brightness, apps and use, especially with the LTE model.
Audio and connectivity
Four Hi-Res Audio-certified speakers combine with OnePlus's Omnibearing Sound Field for a wide stereo image, which is a clear strength at this level. Bluetooth is version 5.4, with SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD and LDAC codecs, and Wi-Fi is Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. An LTE version with 8 GB of RAM is listed alongside the 6 GB Wi-Fi model. The charging port is USB Type-C.
Everyday use and multitasking
In daily use the tablet is positioned around a handful of simple jobs: streaming video on the large 16:10 screen, reading, joining online classes, browsing and light gaming. The specification sheet lists no stylus support or keyboard accessory, so it is best seen as a media and learning device rather than a laptop replacement. The Open Canvas split view is useful for taking notes beside a video or a web page, and the Kids Mode with parental controls makes it easy to hand the tablet to a child. Because OnePlus quotes only modest memory figures, with 6 GB on the Wi-Fi version and 8 GB on the LTE version, keeping many heavy apps open at once is not what this tablet is for. Buyers who need more power should compare it with the OnePlus Pad 3, which is a different class of product.
Who it is for
The Pad Lite suits children, students and families who want a large screen for video, reading, online classes and light web use at the lowest possible cost, and who value battery life and good speakers over raw speed. It is also a convenient second screen for people who already own a OnePlus phone.
Compromises
- Modest processor: the Helio G100 is aimed at everyday tasks, not demanding games.
- Dim, narrow-gamut LCD: 500 nits and 70.8 percent NTSC limit outdoor and colour-critical use.
- Basic cameras: 5 MP front and rear with 1080p video at most.
- Face unlock only: no fingerprint sensor is listed.
- No charger named: the box contents list only a cable.
- Lab-based claims: battery and smoothness figures come from OnePlus's own tests.
