The Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ is the larger of Samsung's two entry-level Tab A11 tablets for late 2025. It has an 11-inch 90Hz screen, a battery of 7,040mAh with 25W charging, four speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos, a headphone jack and Android 16 with One UI 8 on board, all in a body that is 6.9 mm thick. It does not try to compete with the company's AMOLED flagships; its job is to be a sensible, affordable family and media tablet from a brand people already know. This page is based on the published specifications and manufacturer information from Samsung's own pages. It explains where the tablet sits in the range, what each part of the hardware is meant to do, and which compromises a buyer should weigh.

Place in the lineup

Samsung's tablet range has three layers. At the top are the Tab S models such as the Galaxy Tab S11, in the middle sit the fan-edition tablets such as the Galaxy Tab S10 FE, and at the bottom is the Tab A line, to which the A11+ belongs. It has a smaller sibling, the 8.7-inch Galaxy Tab A11, which shares the design language and the software promise but has a smaller screen and battery; the side-by-side table at Galaxy Tab A11+ vs Galaxy Tab A11 shows the differences. Samsung's local newsrooms in Serbia, Australia and Japan date the A11+ launch to 28 November 2025, after the base A11 had already reached some markets. Samsung's German newsroom listed recommended retail prices of 279 euros for the 128GB Wi-Fi model and 329 euros for the 128GB 5G model; Samsung published no United States price in the sources used here.

Design and display

The Tab A11+ measures 257.1 x 168.7 mm and is 6.9 mm thick. It weighs about 477 g in the Wi-Fi version and about 482 g with 5G. That makes it a mid-weight 11-inch tablet: comfortable on a desk or in a bag, tiring after a long time in one hand. It is offered in Gray and Silver, and Samsung's imagery shows a flat metal-look back with a single round camera at the top corner. The screen is a TFT LCD of about 11 inches with a 1920 x 1200 resolution and a refresh rate of up to 90Hz. That resolution is fine for video and reading at tablet distance, and 90Hz makes scrolling smoother than the 60Hz found on many cheap tablets. It does not promise the contrast of an AMOLED panel or the brightness figures of Samsung's high-end models, and the sources do not give a brightness value.

Because the rear and the front look so plain, the design is where Samsung saves money. There is no stylus, no keyboard-dock connector and no water resistance rating in the published material. That is typical for the category, but it is worth stating because several competing tablets at similar prices skip the same features. The camera bump is small, and the tablet sits close to flat on a table.

Performance and software

Samsung's Japanese newsroom lists the processor as the MediaTek MT8775, and Samsung's India page describes an octa-core chip running at 2.5GHz and 2GHz. The memory in the India listing is 6GB, with an 8GB version mentioned, and storage comes as 128GB or 256GB, expandable by microSD up to 2TB. This is entry-level silicon: web browsing, streaming, video calls, reading and light games should run well, while demanding 3D games, heavy multitasking and professional editing are outside its design target. The sources give no benchmark results, so any comparison with other chips is the buyer's call.

The tablet ships with Android 16 and One UI 8. Samsung states that the Tab A11 series receives seven generations of operating-system and security updates, which is long for a budget tablet and an important reason to choose Samsung in this category. The Samsung pages also mention Google's Gemini assistant, and a Dolby Atmos audio mode. Connectivity is Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Bluetooth 5.3 and USB-C with USB 2.0 speed, so file transfers over the cable are slow; the cellular model supports 5G sub-6 bands and takes a single SIM plus a microSD card. NFC is not supported.

Camera

The rear camera is 8MP with autofocus and no flash, and the front camera is 5MP. Video is recorded at up to 1080p at 30 frames per second. This is the standard camera package on a media tablet: good enough for video calls, scanning a document and the occasional snapshot, but not a replacement for a phone camera. Few buyers choose a tablet for photography, and the Tab A11+ does not try to change that. Anyone who needs sharper video calls should still expect average results in dim rooms.

Battery and charging

The 7,040mAh typical battery has a rated minimum of 6,840mAh, and Samsung's India page quotes up to 15 hours of video playback. Charging runs at 25W, which Samsung markets as Super Fast Charging. Those figures are manufacturer claims measured in the company's own test conditions, so real endurance will vary with brightness and volume. In practice a battery of this size should carry a typical user through several days of light evening use, and the charger is likely sold separately in many markets, so check the box contents in your country.

Sound and connectivity details

Audio is a highlight at this price. Samsung lists four speakers, each rated at 1.2W, tuned with Dolby Atmos, and also keeps a 3.5 mm headphone jack, which is increasingly rare on tablets. That makes the A11+ a natural choice for watching series on the sofa or for children who use wired headphones. Sensors are basic: accelerometer, gyroscope, geomagnetic, hall and light sensors, with GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and QZSS on the positioning side.

Who it is for

The Galaxy Tab A11+ suits households that need an inexpensive screen for video, school, browsing and video calls, and it suits buyers who value the long update promise and the headphone jack. It is a good second tablet for a living room or a child, and the 5G version helps if you travel. If you want a stylus, an AMOLED screen or a laptop-like workflow, move up to a model in the tablet rankings, such as the Galaxy Tab S12+.

Compromises to weigh

Based on the published specifications, the Tab A11+ is a pragmatic tablet whose strengths are battery capacity, speakers, update length and a roomy screen, while its weaknesses are the ones you expect at the bottom of a range. For its target buyer that trade is a fair one.
