The realme 15T 5G is a slim mid-range phone built around a very large battery and a bright AMOLED screen. realme gives it a 7,000 mAh cell inside a body only 7.79 mm thick, a 6.57-inch display that it says peaks at 4,000 nits, a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Max 5G chip, and 50MP cameras on both the front and the back. It also carries IP66, IP68 and IP69 protection and runs realme UI 6.0 on Android 15. This page is a spec-and-information-based review that draws on the manufacturer's published specification sheet and product page; it is not a hands-on test, and the maker's lab figures are labelled as claims throughout.
Where it sits in the lineup
realme's number series sits in the middle of its catalogue, with the 15T aimed at buyers who want a thin phone with a big battery without paying for a flagship. The page for the phone comes from realme's India site, where it is sold with a 5G chipset and storage options up to 256GB; the official pages do not list a US price, so none is quoted here. The 15T shares much of its hardware profile with the realme Narzo 90, which lists a similar display, battery and body, so it is worth reading both pages if you are choosing between them, and the realme 15T vs realme Narzo 90 table shows the published numbers side by side. For the newer number series, see the realme 16. You can also see how all of these devices line up on the figures we track in the phone rankings.
Design and build
The 15T comes in three colours: Silk Blue, Suit Titanium and Flowing Silver. The Flowing Silver version has a pearl-white back with a rippled, water-like pattern and a gold camera plate, while the blue and titanium versions use a plainer textured matte finish with a camera plate in a matching tone. realme describes the camera housing as aluminium alloy with a metallic sheen and a low 1.57 mm camera bump. The phone measures 158.36 by 75.19 mm. For the Blue and Titanium versions it is 7.79 mm thick and weighs 181 g, while the Silver version is slightly thicker and heavier at 7.89 mm and 183 g. For a phone with a 7,000 mAh battery, those are slim and light figures, and if they hold up they are one of the 15T's most notable achievements. The display has four rounded corners with an 8 mm radius, which realme says helps the screen flow into the frame. IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings are listed, covering dust, immersion and high-pressure hot-water jets, although realme adds that protection depends on conditions and the phone should not be charged when wet. A 6,050 mm² vapour chamber handles cooling, and dual stereo speakers and dual-microphone noise cancellation are listed.
Display
The screen is a 6.57-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1080 by 2372 pixels, a maximum 120Hz refresh rate and up to 240Hz touch sampling. realme quotes 1,400 nits in high-brightness mode and a 4,000-nit peak, along with 1.07 billion colours, a 93% screen-to-body ratio and a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio. It also lists 2,160Hz PWM dimming, which is aimed at reducing flicker for sensitive eyes. As with all peak-brightness figures, 4,000 nits applies to small highlights under specific conditions rather than the whole screen at all times, so judge the real outdoor visibility by the high-brightness number and by reviews. A full-HD-class AMOLED panel at 120Hz is a strong specification for this segment: it gives deep blacks, smooth scrolling and good sunlight legibility on paper. An in-display optical fingerprint sensor is used for unlocking.
Performance, memory and software
The chip is the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Max 5G, a 6nm octa-core design running at up to 2.5GHz, paired with an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 graphics unit. It is a mainstream 5G processor, designed for smooth everyday use, streaming, social apps and moderate gaming rather than the most demanding titles at maximum settings. Memory options are 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage, with the largest option being 12GB plus 256GB. realme also advertises up to 14GB of additional virtual RAM, taking its dynamic-RAM figure to 12GB plus 14GB; that is storage used as swap space, not real memory, and the physical RAM figure is what matters for multitasking. The spec sheet notes two nano-SIM slots that support two SIMs or one SIM plus a memory card. Connectivity includes 5G on a broad set of bands, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS with several satellite systems and an infrared remote. Software is realme UI 6.0 on Android 15. The page lists AI Edit Genie, a voice-controlled photo-editing tool that is free for the first month and then limited to 10 commands a day. The official page does not say how many Android or security updates are promised; check that before buying if you plan to keep the phone for years.
Camera
The rear camera is led by a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, a five-element lens and a 27mm equivalent focal length, accompanied by a 2MP black-and-white portrait camera at f/2.4. There is no ultrawide or telephoto lens in the published specification, so the 15T is a simple camera setup that relies on its main sensor. The front camera is also 50MP with an f/2.4 aperture and an 86.7-degree field of view, which is an unusually high selfie resolution for the segment, and realme markets the phone as the segment's only 50MP plus 50MP combination. Shooting modes include portrait, night, panorama, cinematic, slow motion, dual-view video, time-lapse, a high-resolution mode, underwater and pro modes. Rear video records at up to 1080p at 60 fps, with 30 fps options too, so there is no 4K recording listed. In practice, a 50MP front camera helps for group selfies and video calls, while the lack of an ultrawide lens is a clear limit for landscapes and architecture. Image quality will depend on realme's processing, which we cannot judge from specifications alone.
Battery and charging
The battery is the central feature: 7,000 mAh typical, with a minimum rated capacity of 6,830 mAh, branded as the Titan battery. Charging is 60W, and realme says that it takes 31 minutes to reach 50%; the phone also supports reverse charging and bypass charging, which powers the phone directly from the charger while gaming to reduce battery heat and wear. The spec sheet lists an 80W adapter in the box on the India listing, though the phone's own charging figure is 60W, so box contents may differ between markets. A 7,000 mAh battery in a 181 g body is a strong result and is the reason the phone is worth a look. The compromise is that heavy charging is not instant: filling a battery of this size from empty will still take most of an hour or more, and the speed claim is a manufacturer measurement.
Who it is for and the compromises
The 15T suits people who want strong battery life, a bright, smooth AMOLED screen and a slim, light body at a mid-range level, with solid water and dust protection as a bonus. It is also a good fit for selfie-heavy and video-call-heavy users because of its 50MP front camera. The compromises are a limited rear camera set with no ultrawide, no 4K video in the published specification, a mainstream rather than high-end processor, LPDDR4X memory and uncertainty about the update policy. The release date shown here is the approximate date given for this catalogue, since realme's pages do not state a launch date. If you want to see where it stands against other phones, the comparison with the realme Narzo 90 is the closest like-for-like check.
