The motorola edge 60 pro is the upper-mid-range model of Motorola's 2025 edge line, and it is the one that tries hardest to look and behave like a flagship. It combines a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Extreme chip with a three-camera rear system that includes a 3x telephoto, a 6,000 mAh battery with 90W wired and 15W wireless charging, and a quad-curved pOLED display. This article is built on the specification sheet and marketing pages that Motorola publishes for India. Statements from the company are described as statements, and anything the page does not mention is flagged as unknown rather than guessed.

Where the edge 60 pro sits

The edge 60 family has several members, and they differ in more than just name. The standard motorola edge 60 uses a different chip and a smaller battery, while the motorola edge 60 stylus is a more affordable model with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 and a built-in pen. The Pro is the version with the strongest processor, the biggest battery, the fastest wired charging and the highest-capacity battery in the group. Motorola's next-generation mid-range option, the motorola edge 70 fusion, is covered separately. Looking at the wider market, the Pro competes with phones such as the Galaxy A56 and with entry-level flagships, and the edge 60 pro vs Galaxy A56 page lines up the numbers.

Display and build

The display is a 6.7-inch pOLED panel with curves on all four edges, at 2712 x 1220 pixels (roughly 446 ppi). Motorola lists a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, 10-bit colour, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, 720Hz PWM dimming, a high brightness mode of 1400 nits and a peak of 4500 nits. Motorola also says touch sampling reaches 1500Hz at its instant peak and 300Hz in gaming mode. The screen-to-body ratio is stated as 96.47%. Protection comes from Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, which Motorola's marketing text says delivers twice the drop and scratch protection. A quad-curved display looks elegant and makes the phone comfortable to hold, but flat-edged panels are less prone to accidental touches along the sides, so some people prefer them for gaming and reading.

The phone measures 160.69 x 73.06 x 8.24 mm and weighs 186 g, which is reasonable for a phone with a 6,000 mAh cell. The rear is also curved on four sides and comes with either a leather-inspired or a nylon-inspired texture, and the page lists four Pantone colours: Dazzling Blue, Shadow, Sparkling Grape and Walnut. The side frame is plastic. Durability claims are strong for the class: IP68 and IP69 against dust, immersion and hot water jets, plus MIL-STD-810H certification. As with all such claims, Motorola attaches footnotes, and water resistance is not permanent, so it should be read as a lab condition rather than a promise for every situation.

Performance and software

The MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Extreme is described by Motorola as a 4nm-class chip with one Cortex-A715 core at 3.35GHz, three more A715 cores at 3.2GHz and four Cortex-A510 efficiency cores at 2.2GHz, together with a Mali-G615 MC6 graphics unit. It is paired with LPDDR5X memory in 8GB and 12GB versions and with 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage on the specification table. The marketing text on the same page also mentions up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage, so buyers should check which memory and storage combinations are sold in their market. There is no microSD slot listed. Motorola promises advanced thermal management and lists a RAM Boost feature next to the memory figures.

The phone ships with Android 15 and, according to the page, will receive three OS upgrades and four years of security patches. That is a solid promise for this price tier and clearly better than the two-plus-three policy that Motorola gives to its cheaper stylus model. The software layer is close to stock Android with Motorola extras: an AI Key on the side that opens moto ai tools such as "Catch me up" and "Pay attention", Gemini Live and Circle to Search, Smart Connect for linking to a PC or TV, and a Moto Secure privacy hub. Whether these AI extras matter will vary, and some depend on regional availability.

Camera system

The rear camera is the part that makes the Pro stand out in the edge 60 family. The main sensor is a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C in a 1/1.56-inch format, with an f/1.8 lens, an 84-degree field of view, all-pixel autofocus and optical stabilisation. The second camera is a 50MP ultrawide with an f/2.0 lens and a 120-degree field of view that also handles macro shooting. The third is a 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, optical stabilisation, an f/2.0 aperture and, in Motorola's words, up to 50x Super Zoom. A multispectral light sensor helps with exposure and white balance. A telephoto camera is less common at this price level, and a 3x lens is useful for portraits and everyday framing, even though 10MP is modest in resolution.

On the front sits a 50MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 lens. Video recording is listed at up to 4K at 30 fps on all three rear cameras, with slow motion at up to 240 fps in Full HD from the main camera, and the front camera also records 4K at 30 fps. The software side adds a Photo Enhancement Engine, four portrait focal lengths (the page lists 24, 35, 50 and 85mm), Dynamic Bokeh and various modes such as Night Vision, Tilt-Shift and Ultra-Res. These are manufacturer descriptions, and image quality cannot be judged from the sheet alone. There is no 4K at 60 fps listed, which will matter to some video makers.

Battery and charging

The battery capacity is 6,000 mAh, large for a phone only 8.24 mm thick. Charging runs at up to 90W over a cable with the charger included in the box, 15W wirelessly, and 5W in reverse wired mode, so the phone can top up an accessory. Motorola's marketing text calls the endurance the "world's number 1 battery score" and shows a DXOMARK badge in its images. That is a claim attributed to a third-party benchmark, and readers should look at the original test before relying on it. In general, a 6,000 mAh cell with an efficient 4nm-class chip should be capable of full-day use with margin to spare, but the manufacturer's sheet does not provide a runtime figure.

Among its siblings, the Pro is clearly the best equipped for charging: the standard edge 60 lists 68W TurboPower charging with a 5,500 mAh cell, and the stylus model lists 68W with wireless charging support but a smaller 5,000 mAh cell.

Who the edge 60 pro suits

Compromises

Taken together, the edge 60 pro is a well-rounded step up from the rest of the edge 60 range, especially for battery life, charging and the telephoto camera. It is best read as a premium mid-ranger that borrows several flagship ideas rather than as a true flagship competitor.
